Photos on Flickr

For whatever reason, the photo's wouldn't load up from Flickr. I'm not for sure if the photos were too big or what the reason was.

However, I did like the "Flickr Storm" feature. But I'm a bit confused about the "Creative Commons" section of Flickr. I clicked the "download and link to tray" and it pulled up a link (see below) but also statements that "This photo is copyrighted. Based on Flickr's terms of service, it cannot be downloaded directly via FlickrStorm. Please contact the photographer to ask about the rights for using this photo."

Does this mean that we can still use it via Flickr Storm or not? Thanks for any advice!

  1. To find copyright friendly, Creative Commons licensed content in FlickrStorm, you need to use advanced search. Then, in the drop-down menu that comes up on the right, select the appropriate category. Rights for commerical use are the safest, and you will still get tons of results.
Once you save several photos to your photo tray, you can look on the left side of the window, third little icon down which is to download your tray. It will open your selected photos in a new web page. In your browser, click on File - Save As. You will need to save as a complete web page. Each individual photo will be downloaded to your computer in a folder. Come to an open lab if you'd like to see this demo'd! :-) -Nancy
